BROTHERHOOD FUND

A voluntary, members-only fund that provides a beneficiary with immediate cash in a member's time of need. Open to all brother and sister members in good standing of IBEW Local 113.

A Little History

In 1961, a group of Local 113 members began working toward a way to protect their brothers' and sisters' beneficiaries in their time of need — something that would provide immediate cash within roughly 48 hours. In late October 1962 a plan was approved and the Brotherhood Fund was born as a voluntary fund.

As the needs of the membership grew, the by-laws were amended over the years by member vote to keep the fund sustainable and cover administrative costs. Beyond inexpensive insurance, helping one another in times of need is what the Brotherhood Fund is truly about.

Contribution and join amounts are set by member vote and are listed on the current application. Contact the hall to confirm today's figures.
